Tips to Grow Chamomile:

  1. Arrange good quality chamomile seeds.
  2. The soil should be rich and organic. Add some compost in the soil prior sowing.  
  3. Arrange a tray with several blocks and fill the blocks with soil. Plant your seeds 3/4 inch deep in the soil. Add enough water to make the soil moist. Put seeds under a very light covering of soil.
  4. After 6-10 days germination occur. Replant the seedlings in pots.
  5. It usually takes about two-three months from the time the seeds are planted for chamomile to produce flowers.
  6.  Cut flowers throughout summer once they’ve bloomed. Your plants should continue blooming all summer long.

Other uses of chamomile:

  1. Dried chamomile flowers are used to make chamomile tea.
  2. Chamomile preparations are commonly used for many human ailments such as hay fever, inflammation, muscle spasms, menstrual disorders, insomnia, ulcers, wounds, gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatic pain, and hemorrhoids. 
  3.  Essential oils of chamomile are used extensively in cosmetics and aromatherapy.
