Tips to Grow Laelia

  1. Arrange good quality Laelia plants from tissue cultured plants.
  2. The soil should be evenly moist, but not wet or soggy. You can mix in compost and peat moss for best results which will help give good moisture retention and straight, smooth roots.
  3. We can add compost and can spread Mulch lightly around the plants before winter for better growth.
  4. In late February, remove mulches from snowdrops and so the shoots can come through.
  5. Harvest the strands by removing the long, bright orange-red stigmas from the center of the flowers using tweezers. Each flower produces just three stigmas, so harvest them carefully.
