Tips to Grow Water Melon:

  1. Arrange good quality of water melon seeds.
  2. The soil should be light, loamy and well-drained in nature, neither too wet nor too dry.
  3. Directly sow seeds 1 inch deep in the soil. Germination takes place in 10 days, transplant the seedlings. Sow 4 to 6 melon seeds on each mound.
  4. We can add compost or aged manure for better growth.
  5. Keep the soil moist until the fruit reaches full size then stop watering while the fruit ripens. Support melons growing the trellis with netting.
  6. When watermelons are ready to harvest vine tendrils will begin to turn brown and die off. If the tendrils are green the melon is not ripe. Use a sharp knife or garden pruner to cut the watermelon away from the vine.
  7. Setup a base for the plant to spread properly for your balcony or open garden. Our guide will help you doing this setup.
