Tips to Grow Lily Of The Nile

  1. Arrange good quality nursery plant of lily of the nile.
  2. The soil should be evenly moist, but not wet or soggy and  loamy with some organic matter added.
  3. Choose a pot that is at least twice the size of the selected plant.
  4. Dig the planting hole twice as wide and to the same depth as the root-ball. Place the root ball in the hole gently and backfill with soil. 
  5. Spread organic mulch lightly around the plants for better growth.
  6. It is important to trim off the flower heads following flowering. Doing this provides the plant the best opportunity to store energy for the next flowering season the following year.
  7. Also take the chance to trim off dead leaves and stems.
