Tips to Grow Aster

  1. Arrange good quality aster seeds.
  2. Soil should be moist but well-drained, and loamy. Mix compost into the soil prior to planting.
  3. Sow seeds one inch deep. Space asters 6 inches apart.
  4. Add mulch after planting to keep soil cool and prevent weeds. We can add compost also for better growth.
  5. Cut garden flowers in early in the morning or early evening, when temperatures are cool and the stalks are filled with water. Always use a sharp knife. 
  6. Strip all the leaves from the bottom half to two-thirds of each stem. Do not leave any leaves below the water line, for vase.
