Tips to Grow Canna

  1. Arrange good quality canna seeds/rhizomes.
  2. The soil should be well drained, fertile and moist.
  3. Dig a hole 2 to 3 inches deep and set the rhizome in the hole, eyes up. Cover the rhizome with one to two inches of soil. Plant 1 rhizome per container.
  4. We can add compost made by animal waste and mulch around cannas to help them retain moisture as well for better growth.
  5. If you need to lift your cannas, do so right after the first killing frost in fall.
  6. When cannas get matured they look very beautiful because they are of many colors like pink, white, red, orange.
