Tips to Grow Nepeta
- Arrange good-quality Nepeta seed.
- The soil should be evenly moist, but not wet or soggy. Enrich the soil with compost, manure, and peat moss to improve drainage before planting.
- Propagation by divisions and nursery plants is more preferable to seeds.
- Plant the periwinkle division (5-8 cm long) nursery plant in the soil. Sow one cutting in each container.
- Mulch dry soils to conserve moisture.
- Harvest leaves as flowers begin to bloom, cutting the top leaves, stems, and flowers if desired. Spread out to dry in a cool, ventilated area and store the dried herb in an airtight container or bag to preserve its potency.
