Tips to Grow Zombi Pea
- Arrange good quality zombie pea seed.
- The soil should be Well-drained, alkaline, acidic and saline soil. Loosen the soil then mix a 2 inch layer of compost for best results.
- Make a hole twice the size of root ball of division. Place the root ball gently and cover with soil, but make sure the root ball is level with the soil surface.
- We can add mulch around the plants to retain moisture and prevent weeds for better growth.
- Deadhead for continued bloom, clipping right below base of the flower stem. Do not water leaves from above, as this can encourage fungal disease on leaves.
- If you wish to keep the coneflowers in pots through winter, wait until the plant growth begins to slow in fall, then prune your plants back to soil level, and then move the pots to an area with low-to-moderate, indirect light.
