Tips to Grow Nemophila
- Arrange good quality Nemophila seeds.
- The soil should be well-drained, humus-rich, moist, and acidic. Amend planting areas with compost, peat moss, or a substitute, only if your soil is poor.
- Saw seed directly outdoors in early mid-may in sunny to a partially shaded area barely covering the seed with soil.
- Keep the seeded area evenly moist through the 14-day germination period.
- Nemophila grows well in containers. Restrict the size of pots as it prefers a crowded root system. When container-grown, they are best kept in partial shade.
- Once the plant has flowered and seed heads formed, cut them off and dry them in a paper bag. Shake the bag after a week and then pick out the larger pieces of chaff.
