Tips to Grow Chrysanthemum

  1. Arrange good quality chrysanthemum seeds/Terminal cuttings.
  2. The soil should be well drained and evenly moist, but not wet or soggy.
  3. Cuttings are planted in well prepared beds or in pots.
  4. At first you have to sow 2-3 seeds in a tray 2 cm deep into the soil for germination. It takes 8-10 days. When the stems grow to roughly 3 inches, you can move them to separate pots so that their roots have more room to grow. (Chrysanthemums can be propagate by cuttings also).
  5. We can  Mulch lightly around the plants to retain moisture for better growth.
  6. Mainly harvesting of flowers is done in October-November month. Harvesting is usually done of fully opened flowers in the morning time.
