Tips to Grow Sapota:

  1. Arrange good quality sapota graft/seeds.
  2. The soil should be well drained and deep alluvial. Prepare a mixture of soil, sand and perlite for the pot
  3. Plant the graft at least 18 to 24 inches in diameter and 20 inches deep. Make a hole equal to 3 times the length of the root ball. Placee the sapota graft straight in the center and push down on the dirt slightly to fill the hole.
  4. Sapota trees may be propagated by seeds. Seeds must be planted within 3 weeks of harvesting from their fruit, and seedlings may begin to bear in 7 to 8 years.
  5. We can add compost and can spread Mulch lightly around the young trees for better growth.
  6. You can harvest the fruit when it get matured. To know the maturity of the fruit, scratch the skin, the pulp color should be brown like cinnamon.
