Tips to Grow Tanacetum coccineum

  1. Arrange good quality Tanacetum coccineum seed.
  2. The soil should be well-drained, loamy, sandy.
  3. You can also directly sow seeds in the garden after the threat of frost has passed. Sow the seeds in well-drained soil, covering them with about 1/8 inch of soil.
  4. Keep the soil moist until seedlings appear. Then, thin the seedlings as needed for the plants to be spaced 18 to 24 inches apart.
  5. Simply dig up a mature plant, being careful not to damage the roots. Then, gently pull apart the roots to create separate plants.
  6. Pinch the plants back in the spring when they’re about eight inches tall; this will promote a bushy form. Deadhead after their first bloom to encourage a second.
