Tips to Grow Sapota:
- Arrange good quality sapota graft/seeds.
- The soil should be well drained and deep alluvial. Prepare a mixture of soil, sand and perlite for the pot
- Plant the graft at least 18 to 24 inches in diameter and 20 inches deep. Make a hole equal to 3 times the length of the root ball. Placee the sapota graft straight in the center and push down on the dirt slightly to fill the hole.
- Sapota trees may be propagated by seeds. Seeds must be planted within 3 weeks of harvesting from their fruit, and seedlings may begin to bear in 7 to 8 years.
- We can add compost and can spread Mulch lightly around the young trees for better growth.
- You can harvest the fruit when it get matured. To know the maturity of the fruit, scratch the skin, the pulp color should be brown like cinnamon.
