Tips to Grow Papaya

  1. Arrange good quality papaya seeds.
  2. The soil should be loose, well-drained, very rich potting mix.
  3. Plant the seed 0.5 inches deep in the soil. Grow one plant in each container.
  4. We can add compost and can spread mulch 8 to 12 inches from the trunk for better growth.
  5.  Papaya fruit harvesting, generally, fruit may be picked when yellow color covers 1/5 to 1/3 of the surface peel.  Normally harvested by hand especially when the trees are still young and within reach.
